^__^ So what are your favorite mangas? Lets see....
You all must make sure to read:
Death Note *__* It's absolutely amazing. I have the scanslations if you want them; also viz has released volumes 1 & 2 in stores.
Please Save My Earth Walk into Borders sometimes and read this, it was a real diamond in the rough. I just picked it up over the summer cause I was bored and I was surprised at how good it is.
Hm, other good ones are Fruits Basket, Naruto, Paradise Kiss, and *Pet Shop of Horrors*.
If you like shounen, sort of action adventure type, there's Get Backers and Groove Adventure Rave (Rave Master?).
Yaoi recs:
Haru wo Daite ita, Love Mode, Invoke, and Prisoner (I think there are two called prisoner, this is the four chapter one by nakama). uuuh the first two havep lots. The second two are just a lot of ... ^__^;;;;

Oooh!!! I can recommend SOOO much yaoi manga. *goes and smacks herself with a pan because she gets really hyper when she gets to suggest yaoi manga for other people* I have a lot...or what seems like a lot to me. (Tell me if this is too much or not enough?) At least 8 CDs worth of manga...or more, because not everything on my computer is on CDs too, heh heh. So shall I begin? Normal Manga- Death Note: I won't say anything because yoshikochan said it all. =D But I've only read a bit of it, so yoshikochan can I get the scanslations? ^^: - Ouran High School Host Club: I made a whole thread devoted to this...that says something. - xxxHolic:I haven't read Tsubasa Chronicle, because I saw the anime and felt like seeing what really was happening on the side, and I must say this is definitely one of my favorites actually. - Emma: Victorian Romance Emma, one of the BEST shoujo mangas ever...I love basically everything about this manga. The artwork, the story. If you don't want to try to d/l the torrents (you can get them here, I have all the volumes to the latest chapters. So great....share the love. Kaoru Mori is the best ever. <3 - Shirley: Another maid manga by Kaoru Mori, but this is only one volume and just short stories about a maid named Shirley if I remember correctly. It's cute and has it's funny moments. Yaoi Manga: Shall I begin? ^^: Here's a scale so you get an idea of what to expect (if you ask me to upload it which I would do gratefully). Rated on a scale from 1 (None) to 5 (Extremely). 1 - General. No intimacy revealed. 2 - Hugging, kissing, touching. No nudity. 3 - Sex, but no *ahem* details shown. 4 - Graphic sex, revealing everything. 5 - Heh heh. Lock your doors...close your windows. Should you really be reading this? - Haru wo Daite Ita- Love Mode- Empty Heart: Another really good one. (Just found out that DramaQueen is planning on releasing this one...o__O Well you can try it out then). Summary:Takumi is very popular at school, but he only has eyes for his art teacher, Usami. The problem is that Usami has been in love with Takumi's older brother, Ryuusei, since they were in high school. Ryuusei is poised to get married, and Takumi offers himself to Usami to be his older brother's replacement. After Usami takes Takumi up on his offer, he will have to decide whether or not he wants to replace his brother or make Usami love him for himself. I'd say 4/5-ish. - Tsuyogari: Waii~ Don't know where to begin with this one. Some mangas I just love to read over and over. This is one is kind of one of those, but it's short storywise...since each couple has their own chapter pretty much. It's cute, and only one volume. It's probably a 4.5/5 for yaoiness. - Non-Stop Love Train: This one made me laugh, because of many reasons. It's just definitely something you should check out yourself. Maybe I'm too easily amused? ^^: Probably 3/5 for yaoiness. - Bukiyou na Silent: This was cute. But most things are just cute, ne? ^^: Here's a brief idea of the story (taken from manganews.net): Satoru Toono gets confessed by long-time crush Tamiya, but he just can't express himself quite the way he wants. =D 3/5 for yaoiness. - Okane ga Nai: Good. Good. I liked this one for the most part. It was interesting (4 volumes). I think it's safe to say it's a 4/5 for yaoi ness. I can't remember how much was shown...x___X - Capture the Prince: One of my definite favorites I think because of maybe the art style, and then I think part of the reason why I liked Tsuyogari was inspired by this one too...in some way...I say it's about 4/5. I could go on for days, but I'll spare you my craziness...^^:

AirGear The artwork is really pretty and it's all about skating. The characters are adorable and the plot doesn't really get boring unless you're not into the battles they get into from skating~
Beauty Pop The artwork here is really cute too. It's funny sometimes, and it's mostly about Hair Styling and cosmetics. Thus the name Beauty Pop! Oh yeah, the main character kinda reminds me of Ryouma too, so that's why I like it so much. >___>
Naruto is always really good, and so is Death Note, but you guys already covered 'em so I don't think I need to say anything about them.

HELL YEAH AIR GEAAAAAAAR!!!!!! W00TW00T!!! Death Note, we can all agree, is awsome. I also like a lot though. =P Detective Conan, Dragon Voice, Peace Maker Kurogane, Prince of Tennis (DUH!), W-Juliet, Perfect Girl Evolution, etc.etc. Too many to name and list. hahahaha. ...i just don't read yaoi manga. if you'd look into my collection of manga/doujinshi, you'd only find yaoi doujinshi. why? cuz everyone browse through my manga and if my mom finds yaoi in there... i'm dead. no one bothers to look at the doujinshi since they all assume it's magazines or something, being thin and all. XD hahahaha. >.> and i rarely leave the house other for school sooooooooo.....i have little to no chance of reading yaoi manga. anyone's read Only the Ring Finger Knows? I heard it was really good. >.> but i wanna know.........and yeah.

Heh heh...actually I haven't really gotten around to buying the manga books yet (I know if I buy those...they'll probably stand out on my shelf, and my mom would probably see them too it my room. ^^: I lack shelf space for the small amount of manga I have right now. x___x). Doujinshi of course is the smarter buy in terms of it looking like a magazine basically, so I've been tempted to buy doujinshi recently. Most of the yaoi manga I read are actually scanslations (can't read enough Japanese, and well I'm kind of broke at the moment, so sampling things). ^^; That's the easiest way for me to get them right now. Good thing about it is that once you're done with the jpegs/zips, you can just go ahead and delete them or burn them off like I do (otherwise I'll forget what I've read and plan to buy).

Right now I'm catching up on One Piece manga <3 <3 it is absolutely amazing.
I just finished the Alabastar arc, I'm not really a fan of this arc but it had a good ending and introduced some good characters. Man, the manga almost brought me to tears, then I really did cry when I saw the anime. But the manga is way better than the anime, it's much better paced, the anime is slow and has horribly boring fillers and is poorly animated (at least up to ep 100 it was). Maybe they upped the animation later. ^__^;;

Rawr. i hated Little Garden, Alabasta, Skypeia, and Long Island. D: that's like...a equivalent to ten-twelve volumes right there. XD But right now, I'm just absolutely hooked. =3 the anime was slow and really boring (especially the fillers. ARGH. WTF APIS SUCK).
checked out One Piece movie 5 yet? the art was terrible. D: the animation was incredibly smooth, however, so it was quite the contradiction to a terrible art. it didn't even look like Oda-sensei did the designs for it. >.>
ah well, i'll save that for the anime thread. =P
...does anyone know where to purchase the Loveless manga? D: i heard it was lisenced a while back and wondered if the manga was out yet.

Seems like Tokyopop got Loveless, and you should be able to buy it in any bookstore when it comes out after Feb 7th. Here it is at Rightstuf: www.rightstuf.com/1-800-338-6827/catalogmgr/ihMdjV3M4=TBmGdsuU/browse/item/67832/4/0/0This is kind of random, but... Hot Gimmick is totally awesome!!! It's really angsty and silly and intriguing! And I really recomment W-Juliet for anyone who loves shoujo! This is the most WAFF-y manga EVER.
