I don't know any BONES anime apart from Evangelion, Ouran, Fullmetal Alchemist, Escaflowne (movie), Cowboy Bebop (movie), RahXephon, Soul Eater and Wolf's Rain. :/ And frankly I'm not really interested in anything else than the ones I mentioned. >.> Apart from Evangelion which was bizarre and sucked.
VAP is another that has produced good anime. :0 Berserk, Claymore, Death Note, Dirty Pair, Elfen Lied, Cyber Formula, Lupin III, Ouran, Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, a Captain Harlock OVA...
Oh, btw, Shiori Teshirogi's Lost Canvas manga of StS is extremely good. The art is better than Kurumada's original was and there are a whole lot less plotholes. And the anime's animation? Oh CRAP.

Maybe Evangelion sucks because it happens NOT to be made by Bones.

Oh, right, BONES only animated part of the Evangelion movie. :/ EDIT: New obsession is "Kannou Mukashibanashi". I'm listening to Mamoru Miyano reading "Yuki no Joou" (aka "The Snow Queen") now. I also saved Takahiro Sakurai's version of "The Little Match Girl". I didn't like Kouji Yusa's track that much... his voice doesn't fit storytelling. :/

Began to watch "Initial D 4th Stage" again. And... it re-sparked my interest in cars! lawl. I had to go to a carwiki and look up the cars of my Initial D OCs again. XD Also, I noticed that I had picked a 4WD for Katsuhiko and Yutaka's sister Sayuri. While Katsuhiko drives a Lotus Esprit SE Turbo and Yutaka drives a Toyota Supra MK IV, Sayuri drives a Mitsubishi 3000GT.
Also, during episode 15 I heard a really cool song in the background during a race and HAD to download it. Awesome song, I love it. <3~ EUROBEAT IS A FRIGGIN AWESOME GENRE.
And Ryosuke has never been as mean as he was in episode 15. Project D's opponents spread oil all over the road (in secret - nobody had any proof of it) and Keisuke's car spun out and got wrecked as a result. Then Ryosuke comes over and says it's KEISUKE'S fault for not managing to drive through the oil...! DX First time ever he was that mean to his own little brother...

Rai-Rai: Lovux has yet to count the actual seiyuu songs, but if you take the anime songs as a whole, it's 1 287 in total. Including OPs, EDs, Inserts and character songs from TeniPuri and Sailor Moon. But I probably forgot some folders and screwed up with the numbers, so don't trust that number too much. I just counted my songs again and now I have over 2000 songs from Japanese seiyuu. ._.' And I didn't even count Japanese songs from OTHER artists.

Kateikyoushi Katekyo Blahblahwhateveritis Hitman Reborn!Sure, now that I've seen a few shounen series, it's not that original or unpredictable. Heck, some of the later episodes have outright BORED me. Yet, it's still addicting as hell, and for me, that is what defines a shounen series. I started watching it exactly one week ago, and now I've seen 110 episodes. Personally, I think the series is at its best when it's NOT focusing on the epic action, but just have their character fool around like huge dorks. And... I know that I'll burn in hell for saying this, but in the beginning of the series... I thought the female characters where MUCH more interesting the males ones. But of course, that has changed. My favourite would be Lambo. And I don't mean the super hot older versions of him, I'm in for the little one this time. He's just so cute! Annoying at times, but it's something with his childish charm that wins me over everytime he shows up and shouts "Lambo-san wants candy!" or "Lambo-san is hungry!" or "You die now, Reborn!". Anyuuuuuuh~ I just wanna squeeze him! But Gokudera has definitely grown onto me as well, especially in the later episodes. Must be his cosmic-proportional crush on Tsuna. Seriously. Gokudera, sweetheart, just do yourself a favor and come out of the closet already. Not for the audience's joy, but for your own good because we can already see that all you want is Tsuna's cock.Another obsession I have that suddenly caught fire and now kinda has become extinguished is Nakajima Atsuko, or as I prefer to call her “Queen of those Smexy Faces”. She is a famous animator/character designer for several well-known animes, like Ranma 1/2, Princess Princess, You’re under Arrest, Trinity Blood which was just about the only thing I liked about that series and –you guessed it!- Get Backers. A week ago or so, I went on a Nakajima pictures hunt and I have been more than satisfied with the result. Because her talents are just… just… DAMN. Rich colours, intricate details, dynamic poses, natural shading, exceeding knowledge of human anatomy - she handles it all PERFECTLY. I worship her, oh so much.

I'm going to start watching that - Plantress has been following that series for ages and I heard of it via her. XD I already like Gokudera without even watching the show. XD
I also watched Future GPX Cyber Formula and now I am in love. That is one of the best old school anime ever made, I swear. There was this atmosphere in CF that caused me to feel incredibly happy after every single episode. And not even one of the eps (37) was boring.
And the characters, OMG. Hayato (the main character) is a bit annoying sometimes (he's hotheaded and stubborn and yells a lot), but most of the time he's a nice and cool kid (he also matures throughout the series - in original CF he's 14, but in the last OVA, Cyber Formula Sin, he's 22.).
Bleed Kaga is one of Toshihiko Seki's earlier roles and I swear he's one awesome character. XD He's a former crash racer and that means he's not above causing others to crash in order to win. Sometimes he even crashes his own cyber machine into his opponents in order to let his friends win. He's always after money, but it seems camaraderie means more to him in the end. He's five years older than Hayato, but he easily befriends the kid when they first meet. XD It's funny, kind of like they're on the same mental level. Or then Bleed's just capable of reverting to a kid's level when talking to one.
And Johji Ootomo! He's adorable! <3~ He's a really amiable character and befriends Hayato even more easily than Bleed did. ...What I find so adorable about him is that he suddenly gets all chummy with Naoki Shinjyo, who tends to be pretty antisocial and what not. XD He grabs both Shinjyo and Hayato and goes "C'mon, let's go eat something!" and leads them off. XD
...Naoki Shinjyo. Easily one of my favorite characters. He was really annoying in the beginning, with his antisocial, arrogant nature. :/ He also blamed mechanics for all the problems he had on the course (track). He gets over this near the middle of the series (with help from Hayato's main mechanic, Miki). Without his overbearing attitude in the way, he's a really lovely, polite guy. And he's an incredibly skilled driver, too. And cute. And has Hikaru Midorikawa as a voice. ...When I first heard him speak, I couldn't believe it was Midorin. ._.' In the early 90s his voice was completely different - that nasal tone of his was missing.
Knight Schumacher... asdhjskjhkgfdhkj. Sho Hayami's voice, hello? <3~ He's also smart and cute, wise for his age (I think he's like 22 in the original series?) and... oh well, I have no words for it now.
Franz Heinel and Jackie Gudelhian are totally funny. XD They're a German and an American, veteran drivers and archrivals. Their on-screen fighting is so funny. X'D Jackie's seiyuu Bin Shimada also voices a Japanese driver called Akira Hiyoshi and I just never knew he sounded that nice. I really like his voice. (Franz is voiced by Ryotaro Okiayu and his deep voice... well... it's kinda... not as hot as his Byakuya and Saga/Kanon voices are nowadays. He's between deep and high and it sounds weiiiiiiird.)
I left Edelhi Bootsvorz for last, but he's definitely not my least favorite character. Argh, I loooooooove him~ ...He was an F-1 driver in the past. He got injured in an accident when driving and competing against Osamu Sugo - he got anxious about beating the younger, more inexperienced driver and flew off the track. He lost his left eye and left leg in the accident and got them replaced by experimental cybernetic parts. He's still handsome and I really like his voice - his seiyuu voiced really annoying characters in Saint Seiya and his voice was terrible back then, so I was positively surprised when I heard Bootsvorz. <3~
The show is just goddamn awesome. Why are the OVAs under 10 episodes long?! ;_____;

Some SUPER-RECENT music obsessions: Queen Emeraldas - EmeraldasThe opening to an OVA series dedicated to one of Matsumoto Leiji's characters. I haven't seen it yet, but it's awesome to know that it has Emeraldas in focus instead of being a side character to Harlock or Matel. But the OP sequence is kinda minimalistic (though the song will haunt you forever), so here's an AMV with the said song. I even made one of my friends, who hasn't seen anything of Harlock or Galaxy Express 999 love it. Revolutionary Girl Utena - Rinbu RevolutionThe OP top the said series. A classic, just classic. Even by today's standards, it stands out as one of the most profilic and unique anime OPs ever. Can't friggin's stop watching the sequence on YouTube...!! I'll watching that show again anyday. IT. WAS. JUST. SO. DARN. GOOD. Really recommended, to everyone and everybody. And I gotta say, for a show who's famous for its lesbian undertones, it sure has a lot of slutty, bisexual guys who can't keep their shirts on for longer than five minutes... Katekyo Hitman Reborn! - 88In all honesty, I think that almost all of the OPs and Eds for this anime are mediocre and forgettable... all but this one! The song is catchy, the visuals are bombarding you to the point that you can't blink, for then you'll miss something. Sure, it has loads and loads of spoilers, but whatever. I knew even before starting the series that we were going to see them all as grown-ups anyway.

(Warning! It’s time for another one of those annoying, lengthy fangirl rants of Lovux that nobody ever bothers to read through. Consider yourself warned) Princess Tutu I have to admit that I’ve been very unfair to this anime, for a long time. I watched (and completed!) it months ago, not too long after finishing Revolutionary Girl Utena actually. While I initially did enjoy the show greatly, I somehow got distracted around episodes 8-9 something, and that affected the rest of the series – while I had the episode up and running, I also had an internet window up which I spent on brainless surfing, listening only to the audio of the episode… You understand what I mean? But when I reached the last episode, I decided to fully concentrate on the episode… and I was completely blown away, equally by the general AWESOMENESS and the fact that I had missed out so much. Like, I had absolutely no idea what was going on, even though I thought it was awesome. So a week ago or so (once again after watching Revolutionary Girl Utena), I decided to give the series a new chance, fair and square. This time, I wouldn’t let my thoughts wander away and I would focus only on what Sato Junichi and company had to offer. And now… I don’t know what to say. I can’t believe I missed out on such a GREAT fairytale the first time I watched it. What it is about? A duck who falls in love with a prince without a heart (literary) and is transformed into a human girl who can transform into the titular magical girl – Princess Tutu, who solves all battles by dancing ballet and talk her enemies to senses by using soothing words. Don’t let the premise fool you. This. Show. Is. GOOD. Sure, it’s of the Magical Girl genre, it has its fair share of the “Victim of the Week” formula, its EXTREMELY GIRLY, but… it stands out. One thing about this show is that it’s clear from the start that this is a fairytale. It allows you to lean back. As if the heroine being a duck was not enough, the whole town this fairytale takes place in is populated by anthropomorphic animals who also attend to the same academy as our main characters. Make sure you don’t miss the snake with frills! The narrator also appears in story frequently (it’s actually thanks to him that we’ve gotten this show at all – watch for elaboration!), both commenting on how his characters are doing and also appearing IN their world to talk to them. As a writer and artist myself, I find that attribute SO MOTHERFUCKING COOL! I mean, who wouldn’t want to interact with your own creations? Another thing is the music. Ballet being an essential part of the show, most of the soundtrack consists of classic compositions such as Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake. Now, I know that there is a LOT of really good anime soundtracks out there, but most of them are there just to enhance the feelings that the visuals and the voice actors already have contributed. So is not the case with Princess Tutu – every piece of music IS the show just as much as the visuals, the story and the voice acting. These classic melodies and drills are weaved into the story as no other show, be it animated or a live action motion picture does. Also, speaking from a PERSONAL point of view: I think that classic music is MUCH better than many of the soundtracks we hear today used in anime. It’s not that I hate today’s anime OSTs, not by any means, but you know… The reason why classic music is called classic music is because its sheer quality has allowed it to survive several hundreds of years. Do you remember the Top 1 radio hit you heard last week? Or ten years ago? Well, you might do it now, but in one hundred years, nobody will remember whatever the hell it was. But the “Waltz of the Flowers” from the Nutcracker? Bach’s “Toccata and Fugue in D Minor”? The Finale of Swan Lake? They will survive. Then we have the usual stuff that I fangirl about in shows I like; the wonderful, likeable characters, their dynamics, their often unpredictable but yet plausible developments throughout the story, the story that despite the “Victim of the Week” formula NOT GET BORING ONCE and always goes further and explores the mysteries of itself, how it can be so WEIRD and saccharine and yet so dark and tear jerking and OMG THAT PERFECT, JUST PERFECT BITTERSWEET ENDING. Just thinking about it makes me feel both happy and that I want to cry. So yeah. Do yourself a favor and watch Princess Tutu. Even if there’s always a chance of you not getting completely swept of your feet like Lovux, you certainly won’t say that it was BAD or SUCKED. Maybe you’re not into the Magical Girl or Shoujo genre -YES FOLKS THIS IS SHOUJO! AT ITS FINEST!- because it simply is not your personal taste… but Princess Tutu might just be able to enchant you nonetheless. If you’re still hesitating, then I kindly advice you to take a look at this amazing, award-winning AMV. Apparently, Princess Tutu has this video a lot to thank for pulling people into its fandom. (Oh, and that song is in Swedish, too. Which Lovux finds highly amusing, for obvious reasons. And I personally don’t think it’s that “spoilerific”, since you, if you’re not familiar with Princess Tutu, will not know what’s going on anyway)And if you want crack, then you can always watch the bloopers from the English dub. They are hilarious, mostly due to the use of the word “bitch!” and that the relationship between the main male characters are being poked fun at for all its worth. Bloopers episodes 1-5Bloopers episodes 6-10Too bad there aren’t any more bloopers for the rest of the DVDs. ----------------------- *pant pant* That’s all for now folks, over and out.

MISFIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILE! I just discovered it. A webcomic called Misfile. It's so lovely - I think it's my top favorite webcomic right now. The characters are awesome, the plot is unique (a pot-smoking angel who makes a filing mistake in Heaven and causes a human guy to turn into a girl? XD There is some cliche stuff there - street-racing and such.) and I don't even mind the art style. In fact, the art looks really nice. Also, the fanmade radioplay is just that brilliant. XD Vashiel makes one frikkin adorable angel. (He's not the one I mentioned - the pot-smoking one is his little brother Rumisiel.) He wants to help around the human boy=girl's house and then nosebleeds when he's doing laundry (he saw girl's underwear) - he's like "Away, foul evil thoughts!" *BANG* "Oooh no. Tissue, tissue, tissue." and then he walks off, opens the door of the bathroom and finds Ash (the boy=girl) naked and goes "I'M SORRY, I'M SORRY, I'M SORRY!". XD www.misfile.com/index.php?page=153 <-- This is the scene. Vash is really cute, too. He looks way better in the recent chapters, though, because the author got better at drawing. This is what the art looks like now: www.misfile.com/?page=1095Oh, and crazy mofo Vashiel is hot. <3 www.misfile.com/?page=447 and www.misfile.com/?page=804I swear he has a split personality or something. XD Or then his old personality is just resurfacing and he's letting go of the ditzy persona he's been developing for a few centuries.
