...I liked Chitose from the first moment I saw him. Shiraishi is cool when he tries to terrorize Kintarou by removing his bandages... and Kin-chan can be nice. (But only when he doesn't open his mouth. And I like his image song.) I never liked Gin and Koharu, and am indifferent about Hikaru, but Yuuji and Kenya are my favorites, along with Chitose. I find Yuuji's voice awesome and he's really cute (if he and Koharu really are gay, bummer. ...Yuuji would've been a nice guy...)... and OMG that Kenya. He IS Oshitari's cousin and has blond hair, and Jun Fukuyama's voice (there is nothing better than hearing Kenya and Yuushi bickering). What can one ask for?

Well, I certanly DON'T hate Ryoma... I love him^^...but I see that's not the topic anymore... About Shitenhouji players....well...they don't deserve an opinion from my side yet...I like Shiraishi but I'll never forget what he did to Fuji. Kintarou is funny, that's all I can say. And the rest I don't know...they are indifferent for me... The characters I dislike the most are: Kirihara Akaya, Mizuki, Tezuka and emm... Sanada I think you're all guessing why I hate Kirihara and Mizuki...and if not think about it a minute. Kirihara is who I hate the most, I hate him with all my little fangirl hart and with all the strength of my feelings. HOW COULD HE....  ? SJDHSJKDHKSDJKAHDKJASHDKJHKHAKDJH wel...better I don't start because I'll never finish Mizuki...He's just pathetic....really pathetic. I myself will kill Kirihara, but I'll let Mizuki for my tenshi, because he really enjoys pissing him off, and it's one of the funniest things of tenipuri. It's marvelous how he ignores him (surely knowing exactly who he is and how to annoy him the most). Well, he hurt Yuuta, he can't expect to live peacefully anymore  Tezuka annoys me...I don't like his all the time expressionless face, he's boring and his personality is...more boring. I know he is the super tennis player, but I couldn't care less about that...and I know that Fuji and Seigaku like him very much...but t's not my case. He's meaningless for me And Sanada a bit of the same. I don't like Rikkaidai at all, that's the main thing. I think it's all because of my enormus hate for Kirihara. Sanada also hurt Ryoma, and that's unforgivable. And well...who doesn't hate Tomoko, the other girl...Ryuzaki what's-her-name (I don't even remember now), Shiba, and those secondary annoying characters? Horio, I don't hate him, he's funny xD |

As for Shitenhouji, Shiraishi's a little bit cool, but the only really interesting one as far as I'm concerned, is Chitose. ^.^ Something about the whole thing with him and Tachibana strikes a chord in me.

O.O Did you miss the part where he forced himself to play past the destruction of his shoulder because he loved tennis so much and wanted his team to wint hat he didn't care if he couldn't ever play again?
Or did I just imagine that?
He HAS feelings, he just doesn't show them. That's part of his job, not to show any weakness. ALL of the captains are like that to an extent.

Atobe´s much a better captain, cause he DOES care (on his own way) and DOES push himself past his limit, buuuuut has some human emotions APART from tennis.
I know he is a "good" guy, but he just seems so boring, or as my senpai said: toast.

Yeah, my wife mashou-chan is totally right
the definition of Tezuka is BORING.
And yeah, he has feelings, but his feelings are plain, meaningless. He's too right, I like characters to be a little sinful, because otherwise they're not human. Tezuka doesn't seem human, he doesn't reach me like a character, like mashou-chan said, he's like a robot. A robot with some feelings written in his data. Everything he does is damn right, so boooring. C'mon, who doesn't have a weakness or an inner personality? I like complicated characters.
And yeah, I know his holy shoulder is his "weakness", more of a robot: he's broken.
But well, that's my opinion, you can love him as much as you like, senpai tachi.

Tezuka does care!!! I don't know why people think he doesn't.
See, the beauty of Tezuka IMO is that who knows WHAT he's thinking? Once you start to explore than in fanfiction, he's just utterly fascinating. When you find things that DO make him react like a human, once ou remind yourself that he IS actually a 14 year old, he becomes one of the most intriguing characters ever.
His weakness isn't his shoulder. His weakness is wanting Seigaku to win more than he wants his own career. He cares more about his team than any of the other captain combined. Atobe (though I love him) would never sacrifice tennis just to win one match. That's where his inner complication lies. Follow that thread and you have someone who's willing to do ANYTHING for the things (and people) he loves.
