Personally I think that has to do with Atobe having a better sense in leadership. He knows his team needs him. Ican´t help it, I found Tezuka so rightgeous, like little husband said, I can´t FIND his depth. He doesn´t have a selfish part, or at least just shows a lie. With Atobe people know waht they are signing in for, and he does lead them really nicely, even with his flamboyance. Tezuka is one of those people who hide themselfs in what´s wrong and what´s not and push people away. Even his teamates don´t comprehend him. I find Atobe a more charismatic, likewise respected but more opne leader...

lol I don't have any problem with those aspects of Atobe, they make for GREAT plot points. ^.^
I guess I just view everything in terms of fanfiction. I'm amazed I got so far through PoT before I started to write something. MY view on all characters is mostly based on how I could use them and who I can pair them with. ^.^ But then I have to get to know them. Until you've spent as long as I have getting to now Tezuka instead of your precious Ryouma, you have no right to tell me he's a robot. *blows a rasberry*

Hey, don´t get even with Ryoma *covers his innocent ears* I love him because of his depth, thankverymuch.
And my plots don´t involve Tezuka much...just can´t find a way about him different than the one on canon. Meaning: Show me your tennis, be the pillar of support of Seigaku.

I know, same here. Yesterday with a friend we were thinking about drunk pot characters, and couldn´t stop laghing at the idea of Tezuka trying to convince a column to be the pillar of Seigaku.
I don´t know waht´s worse the fact that we spent time talking about that or the fact that we laughed
