Well, Thanksgiving is a big meal. It used to be just my mom and her sister and then their cousins would bring maybe a side dish or two. Now that my cousins and I are older, we get roped into helping too so the kitchen's full with about 5-8 people running around cooking a feast for about 30 or so people and another 1-2 trying to keep the dozen or so kids out of the kitchen.
And yeah, a ton of stores really mark down their prices on Black Friday and a ton of Christmas shopping gets done.

Twilight SUCKS. Big time. The plot is horrible and the main character is a blatant Mary-Sue, and her love interest has no personality whatsoever. I have no idea how teen girls find it romantic that Edward STALKS Bella and breaks into her bedroom at night just to look at her when she sleeps! -___- And at one point Edward cuts Bella open with his teeth so that the vampire baby she's expecting doesn't kill her. Really, don't read it.

It's a good book! Sure it is a bit crepy bout the stalking, but I found it hilarious when I watched the movie.
Japantown is like a shopping area in San Fransisco where they sell like Japanese Food, Clothes, Toys and all sorts of other stuff. It's amazing

...Plantress and me both find Twilight creepy, especially due to the rabid fangirls. ...And I've seen lots of articles that explain the idiotic plot twists in the book.
...In fact, Twilight sounds like a bad fanfiction written by a preteen.

Tomorrow is Santa's (Nicholas') name day! If I was younger, I would get a bag full of sweets... I'll get some money instead. Do you have a custom like Mikołajki?

Speaking of HP, my favorite characters are still Sirius Black and Remus Lupin (first after reading the books, and then after seeing the movies). At first I was a bit "Eeehh?" when I found out David Thewlis was playing Lupin, but after I saw the movie, I just liked the character more - Thewlis really is one amazing actor. I really like him in most of his roles. And I have no idea why my Mom hates Gary Oldman. He's a really nice and polite guy IRL, at least he was during a HP interview he appeared in with Thewlis.

the opinions on the book are really different o.o when a friend of mine told me twilight's story I thought it sounded a bit cliche and didn't get why there's such a fuss around it,but I'm pretty picky when it comes to books, specially the ones with sequels like twilight, eragorn (wich I hate XP) and Narnia (wich I also didn't like .-.) but I enjoyed harry potter XD but after I saw girls fighting over who would marry harry,I got scared XD hahahaha @meli: japantown sounds like fun \o is it big? here we have a small japanese borough called liberdade(= freedom),I love going there ^^ shiraoi: money sounds better XD hahahaha what do you do in Santa's day? o.o and what's a Miko³ajki? XD

Mikolajki (writing it this way, because the ł sign might get raped by your computer) is the name of this little holiday on 6th of December when children get candy... I've always been told that it's the day when little Santa comes and because he's little, he only brings small gifts XD I got 50zł which is around 20$... really helpful, because this music deprived girl here is going to join the masses and buy something she's always sworn she doesn't need

Sure, it's an iPod Touch. I was always the "I don't need an iPod, my ordinary no-name players are good enough and I don't want to pay half the price for the Apple logo alone" but after having my mp4 ran over by a car, I decided to invest in something that survives getting ran over by a car. At first I wanted a Classic, but when I saw Touch in the shop, I knew that if I buy Classic, I'll regret not buying Touch. I would have bought it there, but the only one they had left was scratched, so I ordered one from an online shop... 200zł cheaper. It's still going to eat my savings and my scholarship though D: I wasn't planning on buying new music equipment for at least half a year D:
