@krystal: If you ever do get back into JPop and stuff like that, I think I found a song that might match your voice really well. It's "Kami no En ~Del Regno~" from Saint Seiya's Elysion arc... it's a very beautiful ballad with pretty lyrics.

lol Thanks Raiden. I'm sure I will eventually. As for when it started... Well I first saw Heidi(/visual kei) at the end of June... By about the end of July I was regretting the ridiculous amount of money I spent to see KATTUN... I think it was after the back to back On/Off and KATTUN conerts followed swiftly by a Heidi concert that I realized how much better VK music is and how much I just can't listen to Jpop right now. So KATTUN at Tokyo Dome was like my Jpop farewell. For now.

Btw, do ballads that sound like some holy aria belong to JPop? XD (Since that's what the Saint Seiya song sounds like.)

Is this more poppy or rocky? Or this one? I like the latter one QUITE a bit myself. <3 A couple kind of rocky songs I like. First one, second, third (awesome), fourth (...freaking... god... *dies*), fifth, sixth, seventh (...I don't have words to describe how much I love Tomokazu Seki after hearing this. He can really rock it down!), eighth (...*dies*), ninth (*dies for the second time*), tenth (...this actually reminds me of some visual kei bands. o__o;; ), eleventh (this song rules so much! XD), twelfth (usually this type of singing annoys me, but... Toshiyuki Morikawa pulls it off well.), thirteenth, fourteenth, fifteenth, sixteenth (gotta love this song. XD), eighteenth (makes me think of High and Mighty Color of all things. ), nineteenth (THIS certainly isn't anything like regular Jpop, it's more like synthpop. ), twentieth (you MIGHT like this... not too sure, though), twentyfirst (and this one, too. ...This is why I like Shiva from Saint Beast. <3 ...Toriumi actually sings this better live. XD), twentysecond (this song is pure love... I mean, BUNTA'S seiyuu sings it. <3 But WHAT does "Koyoi, Koakuma ni Nare" mean? ), twentythird (Tezuka's seiyuu singing. Otherwise good, except the yells of "Daddy~" at a certain point kind of ruin the image. XD), twentyfourth, twentyfifth, twentysixth, twentyseventh, twentyeighth (...this sounds a bit too emo for Jpop. XD), twentyninth (I LOVE this song. <3), thirtieth (I've tried to find more of this band's music, but never managed. >< In short, I'm a huge fan of this song. ). Have you heard Hironobu Kageyama's music? And if you have, do you consider him pop or rock? If not, this is what his songs tend to sound like. ...Some people don't like Daisuke Hirakawa's singing, but I do. XP He has two kind of rocky songs (IMO), inside Black and Reminiscences.

O.o Sorry girl. I just don't have time to download and listen to all that music... I've never really been into Seiyuu songs, anyway, though. Heh. Plus, I have REALLY high standards in music. Heidi, Gilgamesh and Lynch are the only three so far out of dozens and dozens of bands that I've listened to that I can say I love - with maybe another three that I'll admit I even like, and usually only a song or two. They're pretty damn special.

Kageyama is one who's not a seiyuu, and it's the same with Kazuhiro Watanabe (in fact, I have no idea what his song was doing on Shoutaro Morikubo's "Are you Alice?" album).

About what? XD The "Are you Alice?" thingy? It's a drama CD... kind of a twist on "Alice in Wonderland" (although Alice is a guy in the CD. XD)... Morikubo plays the White Rabbit in it, and his song is called LIDDELL (after Alice Liddell, the girl Alice was based on)... and there was a song called "Bloodflower" on that song's single. And Kazuhiro Watanabe sang it.

That... sounds... bizarre...
Although on that note, I have to say - I love how Alice in Wonderland is the ULTIMATE DARKNESS in Japanese pop culture. Seriously. If you wanna make something cool and creepy... Go Alice in Wonderland.
