Magical Girls/Mahou Shoujo, a popular subgenre of shoujo. The most famous one is of course Sailor Moon (I have yet to find someone in my generation who don't know what the theme song's melody goes like), closely followed by Card Captor Sakura. Then we have Wedding Peach, Mahou Shoujo Pretty Sammy, and also W.I.T.C.H. (even if it's NOT a manga, it's still obvious that they have put many themes and atmospheres from the Magical Girls genre in it).
If we were to explain what the genre is like, well... I think the title of it speaks for itself.

And Raiden, Lovux is not a fan of CLAMP either, but she just felt that she had to say something about their art.

And then there's Magic Knight Rayearth, which I absolutely can't stand (apart from Zagato, Lantis and Ferio). ...The manga looks even more horrible than the anime, I mean, WHO on earth finds it cute/pretty when half of a character's face is EYES? (Not me, that's for sure.)

And I agree with Stayka on Hikaru - she's on her "most hated anime characters" list. And on mine, too.
