Actually the tread started earlier this year but it takes a while for me to catch onto trends and since no one has posted about this i will. Originally a Swedish song, Caramelldansen also referred to as the "Uma uma dance" was paired with a clip from the anime Popotan. A Japanese soramimi (misheard lyrics) version of the song was made and Caramelldansen has become very popular. I checked YouTube and found a whole collection of Caramelldansen anime parodies. Everything from Pokemon to Death Note. There's also a few PoT ones too. I have links to some of them below: Rikkai and Hyotei: www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUXxBznwOyIA funny different version: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xR0_I7J2XHE

*watched Rikkai and Hyoutei* And I got so freaking happy when Jirou and Bunta suddenly popped up. XD They looked so bouncy! (And same with Yukimura, actually...)
XDDDDDDDDD When Shiraishi was dancing in the other vid, it looked like Chitose was apologizing to Tezuka for the embarrassment his Captain was causing everyone. XD;;

Finally took my time to watch the Hyoutei&Rikkai vid (had already seen the second one AnimFan posted, which is an Atobe-Level kind of Epic Video), and what can I say? 02:16-26 was my favourite part. As a responsible seme, Lovux took her time to translate the lyrics so you can understand the song as well. But first of all, I'd like to point out that “Caramelldansen” was made by a group calling themselves Caramell (note that there are two L’s at the end). The Swedish word for caramel, or sweets/candy, is basically the same, except spelled with a K instead of a C in the beginning, and two L’s at the end – Karamell. But for some reason the group decided to spell it a little cooler and fancier with a C in the beginning. Now, if we take this “misspelling” thing into consideration when translating the song title, then it would be something like “The Kandy Dance”. Am I making any sense? XD Oh well, here goes… Vi undrar är ni redo att vara med | We’re wondering if you’re ready to take part Armarna upp nu ska ni få se | Arms up and you’ll see Kom igen | Come on Vem som helst kan vara med | Anyone can take part
Så rör på era fötter | So move your feet Oa-a-a Och vicka era höfter | And shake your hips O-la-la-la Gör som vi | Do like we do Till denna melodi | To this melody
(refrain) Dansa med oss | Dance with us Klappa era händer | Clap your hands Gör som vi gör | Do like we do Ta några steg åt vänster | Take a few steps to the left Lyssna och lär | Listen and learn Missa inte chansen | Don’t miss the chance Nu är vi här med | Now we’re here with Caramelldansen! | The Kandy Dance! O-o-oa-oa...
Det blir en sensation överallt förstås | It’ll be a sensation everywhere of course På fester kommer alla att släppa loss | When on parties, everyone will let loose Kom igen | Come on Nu tar vi stegen om igen | Let’s take the steps once again
Så rör på era fötter | So move your feet Oa-a-a Och vicka era höfter | And shake your hips O-la-la-la Gör som vi | Do like we do Till denna melodi | To this melody
Så kom och | So come and Dansa med oss | Dance with us Klappa era händer | Clap your hands Gör som vi gör | Do like we do Ta några steg åt vänster | Take a few steps to the left Lyssna och lär | Listen and learn Missa inte chansen | Don’t miss the chance Nu är vi här med | Now we’re here with Caramelldansen! | The Kandy Dance!

The original sounds really slow compared to the Speedycake Remix, but you can still tell it’s the same song. Caramelldansen (the original)Caramelldansen (Speedycake Remix)Hope you liked Lovux’s little contribution.
