awWwWw... cosplay... T_T i've been wanting to cosplay my whole life! I just never got a round to it... stupid fat! WHY WONT YOU GO AWAY?!?! *pokes stomach*
Actually, I have a Seigaku team jacket with tezuka's name sewed on the inside, like the one on the anime! XD I bought it on ebay at the height of my fandom. It was from the JUMP fiesta in 2003. So, I guess, you would call it an "official" jacket. Hell, it better be if I paid a friggin $183.50USD for it! grr...
I only really wore it to like... to school and when I actually played tennis, but this halloween I wore it with my tennis uniform and I looked like a girl Ryoma. YAY! Great experience... even though it was just at school. I wish I had pictures though.... >_> too bad...
maybe once I start to cosplay, I'll put pics...

$183.50?! T____T Oh the fabric and supplies I could buy with that money. I don't think I've ever hit the peak of a fandom to the point where I could spend that much. I'm pretty cheap...XD XD Like with my fabric...I like high quality fabric for a cheap price, say $2 per yard (not what joann's charges me like $6 a yard...i <3 downtown LA for that reason XD)~~

yeah i know... it was outrageous... I'm surprised my mom let me buy it... I'm a sucker for clothes. I WOULD make my own stuff but... I can't sew for crap... I have all these designs and stuff but it would be a dream if i could make it.
But I hardly wear it anymore... I only show it off! XD Like if i overhear a conversation at school about pot... then the next day i would wear it a that same place... I love to show off... hate me.
I wanna sell it... but I'm too connected with it to. I bought it 3 years ago. Imagine the profit on it now... $$$

The Price for official cospaly stuff is outrageous (Not just PoT, but for other series as well). I've been wanting to get the Seigaku Jersey to csoplay Kaido but you damn near have to brake the bank for the full set.
Though there is a level of satisfaction when you make it yourself, but like Kichiko says, you have to be able to sew for that. A lot of people can sew and make a cosplay outfit. But few can do it well. So for those who want to cosplay but cant sew for their life (I'm right in there with you Kichiko) it's shell out the dough.
But alas, I am still determined to start cosplaying... someday...
whitelilacs: Totally off topic question for ya. I have a pattern for some really cute pajama pants that I was hoping to make with a fabric pattern that looks like the Akatsuki robes (from Naruto). Any Ideas where I can get some really nice fabric for PJs (Walmart and Joann's kind of suck -_# ).

O.o Remember... it was the PEAK of my fandom. I got it on ebay... I wanted a Fudomine one, but the bids just kept getting higher... I see alot of full suits now... but LOL i still havent FULLY recovered money-wise from that last time to buy another one. Maybe my birthday. yes! heavenslight... it costs a lot to be talentless... LOL when my mom gave me a sewing machine, i was so happy! but then it broke... TT_TT It wasn't meant to be.

LOL when my mom gave me a sewing machine, i was so happy! but then it broke... TT_TT It wasn't meant to be. Hehe. That is why I never use sewing machines. There are too many things that can go wrong. That and they scare me. I am always afraid that I ma going to sew my fingers to the fabric. And as for the price of cosplay stuff, I was looking at the official Japanese Tenipuri online store. Anytime you import stuff it can really jack up the price (it was like 800 yen for one of Kaido's bandannas). And at the time E-bay wasn't much better. It would make sense that the prices would be lower now and such.

Any Ideas where I can get some really nice fabric for PJs (Walmart and Joann's kind of suck -_# ). Yay! Off-topic-ness~~ :D Hmm....well I usually get all my fabric from downtown LA in their Fashion District, which is like 20-30 minutes away from me. There are endless fabric stores there with A LOT of choices, all for a good price (and if you don't like the price they tell you...usually saying you'll come back sometimes lowers the price XD or you can just say something like "hmm...that's a bit more than I really want to pay.......I'll come back later." Yay for haggling prices <3). ^^;; Hmm, other that the only other place I've been to is Joann's (if I'm REALLY in a pinch and don't have time to go downtown), and yeah...-____- they kind of suck. ^^;;; And then there are online fabric stores, but you really have to know what everything is. (Still learning...) I usually like shopping for my fabric in person though, because I get to feel the material and see how thick or how good of a quality it is. :D

Okay I took a picture of me in my St. Rudolph shirt. I'm only semi happy with it (the collar...x___x and the sleeves). I have a wig that I need to style for the character though...so after AX06 I'll have more tenipuri-like cosplay pictures. Here's me: HERE
