Ok, this was a game I came up with a while ago for Tenipuri boards so I thought it would be fun to employ here.
Rules.
Please remember: PM me your team lineup. Rather than posting it in this thread. This is to prevent someone who joins late in the game from having an advantage by being able to look at everyone's team selections and creating a corresponding counterpart.
Everybody can submit one team of Tenipuri characters
The players (BBS members) serve as the Coach and select the lineup.
Lineup conisists of:
Doubles 2
Doubles 1
Singles 3
Singles 2
Singles 1
Reserve
Rules to selecting characters
1. You CANNOT select doubles teams that were actually used in the series or manga (this iis to prevent instances of everybody selecting Yagyuu Niou, Eiji Oishi etc). Original doubles pairs only
2. The same person may not be on your team twice (you cannot have Oshitari in doubles two but also playing singles 3)
3. It is permissible to use characters other people have allready selected
4. Of the following characters you may only have one. . .this is what I consider the "Super characters" that are close to unbeatable in Tenipuri and to prevent someone form making a team of just them (Nanjiro is not selectable, period)
Tezuka, Atobe, Sanada, Yukimura, Fuji, Tachibana
5. You may use anyone from the anime or manga; keep in mind how much tenipuri the other members know since they might not be familiar with characters you list.
Gameplay looks like this
Knockout tournament, each week I'll match up the teams in a knockout style
Players will visit the BBs and vote on who would win each match. Highest votes indicates the winner
If the same character is on two teams in the same round (i.e. Mizuki vs. Mizuki) the round will be discluded in which case the reserve will play.
The above rule does not apply to doubles unless the same doubles pair was selcted (this is due to a lot of doubles is the chemistry and the combined abilities of the two characters rather than their individual traits).
Coaches may not vote on their own team's matches
Voting for each round will continue for one week.
Round One will begin one week from today. I'll accept any and all submissions made up until then.
