Okay, so, I was working the midnight shift tonight and I was thinking about how I should really stop making 'uhoh' faces when something seems odd with the till, and about how I have a crappy poker face. Of course, it occurred to me that Tezuka has a fantastic poker face - and, of course, so does Fuji. Well the ensuing image was rather amusing and I ended up writing a drabble in my hour break, and this is it:

Tezuka's eyes stared evenly into Fuji's, not even the slightest hint of his thoughts appearing on his features. The latter returned his steady gaze with an equally unwavering smile, his blue eyes narrowed to happy arches as though he had not a care in the world.
The battle was on. Several others had already fallen prey to the indomitable battle of wills occurring between the two.
Those watching were riveted, oblivious to the inches they crept forward in their seats with every passing moment. The tension could not even be cut with a knife.
"Fuji."
"Mmm?"
"Do you truly have the will to continue and face failure?"
Fuji's eyes snapped open, revealing a penetrating blue stare. "Of course," he began. "This," he drew the word out for dramatic effect, "is not tennis."
Tezuka's gaze never faltered for a moment. He met Fuji's eyes, invisibly scrutinizing them for any hint of deceit.
"I fold," he said at last, gently slapping his cards down on the table - three of a kind.
His cheerful smile back in place, Fuji showed his hand to reveal a random assortment of numbers and suits.
The onlookers gaped in shock as Fuji chuckled to himself, collecting the Kawamura's Sushi ticket from the middle of the table.
For once, Tezuka's sour expression was unmistakable.
And that brought an end to the Prince of Poker tournament.
The End.
^.^ So, I though we could start a little game. This'd be a good place to implement some of those 'What Ifs'. I'll leave a challenge and whoever wants to accept it may do so, and then leave anaother challenge - in the form of specific quotes, vague topics, or even just a pairing. Drabbles can range to and from any rating (to cover my own ass - or rather, my dirty mind) and more than one person can make an attempt at them. Even if it's weeks later and you just wanna have a go at one previously mentioned.
