Since I haven't seen anything about this excellent anime/manga...
Summary:
Every 200 or so years, the Greek goddess Athena is reincarnated into mortal form to lead the fight against evil. With her fight her 88 warriors, called Saint, each of whom has an armor based on their guardian constellation. Saint Seiya stars five of these young warriors: Pegasus Seiya, Dragon Shiryu, Andromeda Shun, Cygnus Hyoga and Phoenix Ikki.

It is very interesting. The only bad thing is that the anime starts off pretty slowly and during the first five or so eps seems like a tournament anime even though it really isn't.
Also interesting to me was the fact that several of the PoT Seiyuu have roles in the Saint Seiya: Hades OVAs. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Okiayu Ryoutarouo, who does the voices for the Gemini twins Saga and Kanon, but I know there was at least one more.

;D Saga and Kanon actually have an attack called Galaxian Explosion and the animation for it reminds me of the when Tezuka uses the Tezuka Zone in the movie and kills the dinosaurs.
Oh, and did I mention that because Kanon is a Gold Saint, he is surrounded by a golden glow when he attacks, and Tezuka glows gold when he gets serious in the anime...

For anybody who cares: The last part of the Saint Seiya: Hades saga is being made into an OVA called The Elysium Chapter. It's scheduled to come out some time in December. This means we get to see Hypnos and Thantos in color! Yay! On a side note: Another of Kurumada' s works, Fuma no Kojirou is being made into a live action TV series. Now I can't stop imagining Atobe as Pharaoh sticking his finger up, making the Specters yell "Katsu no wa Atobe/Pharaoh, makeru no Orphée." xDDDDDDD
Maybe it could be a Halloween thing or something... Atobe could dress up as Pharaoh or something. I wonder what they would look like in those Cloths? If someone drew them...
Tezuka in the Gemini Cloth, Atobe in the Sphinx Surplice, Eiji in Odysseus's armor, Tashiro in the Pegasus Cloth (I wish I remembered this guy), Kajimoto doing that weird bend in the Phoenix Cloth (he looks freaky while doing it), Yanagi in the Harpy Surplice and Momo in the Perseus Cloth.
Then we'd see Saga or Kanon, Odysseus and Algol in Seigaku's uniforms, Pharaoh in Hyoutei's uniform, Seiya in Ginka's uniform, Ikki in Jyosei Shonan's uniform and Valentine in Rikkaidai's uniform.

Speaking of the plotbunnies, I'd love to play in a Saint Seiya AU!Tenipuri RP, having the Tenboys being Saints (but not in a 'character X is character Y' way, rather 'character X is *insert constellation* Saint' way)
I'd love to draw it, but I fail at drawing Cloths and if I tried to draw, say, Tezuka in Gemini Cloth, my brain would protest and say 'stupid girl! Tezuka's zodiac sign is Libra!' and won't allow me to continue.
The fact that Suwabe was voicing Pharaoh made it hard for me to translate the subtitles what I was watching Hades with my grandomother XD;
