Well it's months away from being released in the US, but next week it should be released in Japan....=D (I know someone who's getting it, but I can't understand much Japanese to play the game, or sit and watch her play the game). Anyway, just wondering how many people have hear "Passion" by Utada Hikaru. It's KHII's I guess you can call it "OP song". And what was your impression of it?
I personally really like this song, and then when I think about KHII just get really happy about when I'll be able to play it...=D
Sidenote: I guess this thread can also be used for KHII discussion too...

and i shall never play KH either.
...i feel sad that nobuo uematsu has quit Square. but that's OK. his music lives on because it's just that cool.
i heard Captain Jack Sparrow will be in KH2. ^___________^ hehehehehehe. i will make my brother play KH2 and make him tell me when the Cap'n shows up. hehehe.

Shall never play? T___T Naze? *sniff sniff* Actually, it's well worth trying it. I mean if you like Disney or the FF series. I have my Disney favorites though so I guess that was incentive for me to play it. ~ Although Nobuo Uematsu didn't compose music for KH, I thought Yoko Shimomura did a very good job with it. There are some very memorable tunes in that set of music in my opinion (not memorable on the level of Nobuo Uematsu, but up there). And the story is just SOO addicting and I couldn't help but love it. But to each his own, ne? ^^: |

Haii....I think it was a year ago maybe...yeah, well after some research I found that someone had translated his newsletter to his fan club members. Here's what I found:

Ah...., there is always a negative image when employees "leave or quit their job", so I say, "I have graduated from the company..." how is that?
There weren't any problems or arguements between them and me, so please don't take it the wrong way.
I hope to work at my own pace now. So, this is what we call, a "Peaceful Resignation".
My work will not end, I will keep creating game music, having more orchestral concerts and live concerts, making more "Black Mages" music albums, and also we are considering these plans for overseas fans as well.
Please continue supporting my work.

Yup, but he's working with the Black Mages now, and had a few concerts here in the US like the "Dear Friends" and "More Friends" concert, so it's still happiness. =D After all, he did start a company called "Smile Please".

Oh, i hated FFX-2. I only liked the scene opening one...where it's the nice smooth piano melody. K-something something something. And something. Forgot the name. FFX was OK, not the best but wasn't the worst. ...My friend actually attended Uematsu's concerts.  since they were up in San Francisco, i believe, she got tickets and yeah...it's only 45 min. drive away from where i am. XD |

I think I was one of those friends that went crazy =D It was enjoyable though. <3...hopefully there'll be more in the future. I'd definitely go again (I'd like to sit closer next time). ^^; FFX-2 OST was okay...it fit the game, since it was very upbeat and that kind of pop-iness...so I was fine with it. I would know that a song is from FFX-2 if I heard it, but I'm definitely not crazy about FFX-2's music. As for FFX, once again I'd recognize it if I heard it, but I agree that it wasn't all that great either. It just fit the game, and maybe it had one or two songs I loved like "To Zanarkand" (great piano piece to play. <3) and the "Ending Theme" (I liked this one a lot...also a lot of piano fun). |

...everyone at my school, at one point, was obsessed with playing To Zanarkand on the piano.  it's crazy. my orchestra teacher hates FF music because of that. XD |

Yeah, "Ending Theme" was one of the few decent songs... and I liked the ffX version of "The Crystal Theme" ^__^ still haven't played X2 ^^;;;
I want more Chrono Cross music! =D

Chrono Cross is a lot of fun XD so far. I'm about 10 hours into it..... ^__^;; there's a LOT of characters though >.> that I'm not sure serve any purpose. ^^;;
