Finally got my laptop back (although not all the problems are fixed *grumble grumble*) so I thought I'd explain my random disappearance.
I didn't warn you guys I was gonna be away cause I didn't think I was, but then I realized how damn difficult it was to use my tv screen computer for uses like forums etc. Too small to read, and the keyboard I have for it is really iffy. >.<
Anyways, I'm back now, and have been busy in the meantime:
First of all, Uni's started again. Although I don't have to go, I'm going to the classes I can make it to both to refresh myself and to learn as much as I can before I go.
March 22nd I leave for Japan. (Although the place I was gonna be staying for the first 10 days is no longer an option and I need to find an alternative.)
I've been watching a lot of dramas (as usual) but I'll post that stuff in the drama topic where it belongs.
Also, I found a new anime to get addicted to that I shall be making many claims from very soon. It's called Saiunkoku Monogatari and is full of bishies and has a great plot.
Spent several days doing nothing but searching JE stuff on Youtube. ^.^ I love KATTUN more than ever, especially Kame and Ueda. Found some truly great clips.
Read two books. Ther Masterharper of Pern, and finished today the one I started yesterday called Sebastian by Anne Bishop - GREAT book from the Landscapes of Ephemera duology. That author truly is a tensai! I can't wait to read the second and last book of the series.
But yeah, mostly been reading, watching stuff, and practicing my Japanese by listening to music and watching bits and pieces without subtitles.
Oh! And I spent some time learning to play Kizuna (from Gokusen II with lyrics written by Kame) on the piano. I've almost got the song down which is really exciting for me since I've never quite managed to master a whole song before - mostly due to laziness.
Last but not least, life has been hectic. Long story short. Dad's been away for about a month now, but after less than a week mom found out he's been cheating on her and taken out a huge homeloan on the house so mom's planning to divorce him and currently moving out of the house. He'll be back at the end of next week to find only me here and that for only another two weeks before I go to Japan.
So yeah, it's kinda confusing and tiring, but I'm doing okay. I just keep thinking "Japan, Japan, Japan" and working towards that.
OH! And I got my wisdom teeth out! All four! My face was massively swollen for a while and then I couldn't open my mouth too wide for the stitches, but now it's pretty much just a couple of little craters where the bottom ones were that are filling in over time. Wasn't allowed to excerisize, though, so I've gotten lazy again. Need to remedy that. >.<
*sigh* I know I'm really just procrastinating cause I don't wanna email Komazawa. I'm nervous (for good reason) that they're gonna say I absolutely can't move in until April 1st so I'm gonna have to find some other accommodation for 10 days, but even if I have to stay in a hotel, I'll still be in Japan and then I can move into the dorms and it'll all be worth it. ^.^
Aaaand that's my summary of the last couple of weeks!
