The Reed Tree.. 28 October - 24 November - The Druids believed the Reed was a tree because of its dense root system. Cut Reeds were used as pens and symbolised wisdon and scholarship. Reed people are complex, tenacious and fearless. Proud and independent, they have great strength of character and rarely compromise. They thirve on challenge and have an innate belief in their own destiny.


Due to their power, however, they must follow a narrow line of virtuous morals. If that line is strayed from, then they can become very dangerous people.

Interesting. The second site was rather accurate to me, especially the poplar explanation. Odd, though, that the equivalent sign is Virgo. It's a whole month out from Leo. O.o

HAZELNUT TREE(the Extraordinary) - charming, undemanding, very understanding, knows how to make an impression, active fighter for social cause, popular, moody, and capricious lover, honest, and tolerant partner, precise sense of judgment.

Hazel:

The "new moon" Hazel individual is more inclined to seek out knowledge than his or her "full moon" counterpart. These people possess an inquisitive nature which can, at times, become prying or underhand.

In general, Hazel individuals are perceptive and clever people, endowed with good reasoning powers. This sharpness of intellect makes for excellent debaters and writers. They are also wonderful planners and organizers...even down to the smallest detail. The desire to acquire knowledge often leads to Hazel individuals becoming adept scholars and they are frequently experts in their chosen fields. They have lively and analytical minds, possess a great deal of imagination and are radical and idealistic thinkers. Their artistic abilities often lead them to create beautiful things which have very practical uses. Well, yes, they do. Since Hawthorn is your Primary Tree while Chestnut is the Secondary Tree. See:
