If the anime gets dubbed...

4kids getting a hold of it. Period. NOBODY would get to keep their name in the 4kids version, since as I recall them saying in a PR for Tokyo Mew Mew "I don't think kids need to know it's from Japan."



Anybody else I think would release a happy little subtitle track that I could always enjoy. Especially if it's FUNimation that gets it; I've been watching their Fullmetal Alchemist disks. And they even leave in the japanese suffixes (chan, kun, san etc etc) and even used "sensei" in the subs rather than "teacher." So I'd really hope for them as their subtitle tracks are really nice.

i play mostly RPGs and Tactics i only play shooting games in arcades and i play games like, racing, mario party, ect. so like action games

i've never borrow stuff from ppl ok well i borrow less than 5 games in my life thats cuz it very diff if its not urs u cant take ur time with it and stuff

D: I have the first DVD of Fulllmetal Alchemist and found tons of errors in their subtitles... That and I can't stand the dub.

It was to be expected that Viz would pick up PoT, especially since they have had a deal for it for a long time, but just waited until someone wanted it.

Strangely, I actually looked forward to the idea of a 4Kids dub. o.o I thought it would be horrible enough to be funny... But may be it would just be the same humour as every other 4Kids dub and therefore not be funny... DX

Who here thinks Viz'll use more newbie voice actors and ones that worked on the forgotten Anime of the 90's? :0 I'd like to see how they'll come up with such a large cast. Voice acting janitors anyone?

yeah, the dubbed voices would all aound really weird to me... especially for fuji and ryoma since their voice people are girls...

frikkin.. *sigh* PoT openings and endings are the best.. they BETTER NOT change them for real... I was already pissed when they released the manga in the U.S. I was raging furious... XP

Naw, Viz loves to go with Ocean Group, they very rarely get anybody else to do anything. Age will have nothing to do with it since they used Ocean Group for Naruto and the principal cast is the same age as the Tenipuri cast. Though the Naruto characters look closer to their age.

Personally i'd rather don't watch the dubbed series, that would just spoil my impression and image of it. So hope that it won't ever do such a thing like dubbed the series, then i would faints. =3 ;D

if i hav lots of time on my hands then i'll watch it, cuz it's like ... re-watching the series, sorta. It's a bit different so its not so repetitive @_@ i re-watch the funny eps A LOT @_@ the best thing about anime getting licensed is that the games gets translated I REALLY want all of the sweat and tears games in english

Toonami is going to start showing PoT in July. I know for sure that it will show on their online channel so it'll probably go on the tv sometime late fall.

Well... I'm from Latin America, so I KNOW what a dubbed PoT is like...

I hope in english is better, but still... I fear the voices out of all the other stuff that a dubbed may have

hehehe. yeah, PoT dub wouldn't be the best in the world because...it'll be incredibly difficult to find voices that are at least similar to the original seiyuus. will show on toonami in the fall? T_T awww...i can't see it then. >.>

Luckly, ViZ has the Tenipuri anime rights, and with their good job on Naruto, I'm not worried at all.

Except Fuji sounding like a dude.

And Ryoma actually sounding like he's 12. That might be odd.

Darn. It's going to be weird seeing Hot Topic and other "Young and Hip" stores with shelves full of Tenipuri goods. "Weird" as in every one in school will be sporting something related to tenipuri when school starts.

Of course, I'm just jealous because my parents won't lemme buy anime/manga related stuffs unless I do it when they're not looking.

I once walked into a Hot Topic in Virginia and it was loaded with Naruto stuffs. It was just a month after Naruto premiered on Cartoon Network. 0_______0;;

I know the feeling. But what makes it even worse is when, and I do this often because I haven't really caught on, I try to start a conversation talking about the anime and the other person has no idea what I'm talking about.
"Because it looks cool!" I hate that line. I mean, if you're going to get the gear for a show, you should at least know what the show's about.
