*g* And to top it off, I just had two weeks of vacation time in Spain! Just got back home... now there's unpacking to be done and Spanish ham to be eaten  |

A bit stressful, since I couldn't carry any of my own luggage and hate to rely on anyone for anything, but my friends (we went as a group of six) were really nice about it. We went to Barcelona (I wanted to see the Gothic quarter and all the Gaudà stuff, my best friend just wanted to stuff himself with Tapas ;D)... and we got rained on. A LOT. *g* Still, I love Spain. And I found I could understand Spanish as long as nobody cursed at me (at which point I was at a loss since it's pretty... different from Italian)! Yay! Meant I had to order all our meals, though. Luckily, I managed to avoid the "donkey"-trap (burro, ne?) and got everyone the things they wanted My favorite was the market, I just had to go there almost every single time it was open- so many delicious fruits and vegetables... a shame we didn't have a kitchen in our hotel room, I'd have kicked the doctors' order to keep my right arm as still as possible right out of the window to just... cook. And I normally HATE cooking! Also visited Montserrat, and bought lots and lots of things for my family and myself (food stuff, wood carvings, tourist tokens and books, mostly). Didn't find any manga  - but got a wonderful Gaudà photo book |

Wooow =D I want to go to Europe some day and see everything XD going to a market in spain sounds so amazing and fun XD it's definitely best to travel with friends

It is! Especially when you're in adjoining rooms and everyone's read The Count of Monte Cristo  ... AND you have someone to trick into eating peperoni (the HOT CHILI kind *g*)! I think Barcelona has one of the most beautiful markets in all of Europe- beats the Hamburg Fischmarkt any day. There's something to see around every corner, and so many beautiful little places everywhere! I took around... 1000 photos, I think *g* |

Wow, you make me want to pack up all my friends and go. Lol, I'd make them go with me. I hate traveling alone, though, I'm sure some of them would love to go anyway.
Heh, I feel the same about cooking, but something about having fresh ingredients makes you want to cook sometimes. It's all about the ingredients. Lol.
