I can't really see a lot of guys getting really excited about prince of tennis to be honest with you...
A lot of people like it just because the characters look GOOD, and they're all tennis players which is like "eye candy times 10."

Yeah. I dun see it much either. ^^; Half the reason I stick around is because they look good. Such the wrong reason to stick around with an anime, but I can't help it. XD XD XD

I got into Prince of Tennis for the tennis action, that is still the first and foremost thing that I enjoy the show for. Probably also one of the reasons I didn't like subsequent arcs because it became DBZ tennis and was really screwing with what got me into the show in the first place.
The bishounen are more of a bonus.

One of my male friends is into tenipuri. hell, he's so into it, he looks like tezuka, walks like tezuka, has the attitude of tezuka, PLAYS like tezuka, loves fuji likes tezuka, heck! HE IS TEZUKA!! XD
for real though, my sister got into tenipuri before I did. she got into it because she was a year ahead of me and played tennis in high school. It didn't interest me at all for awhile until AFTER i joined tennis the next year. So for me, i like the tennis in the anime. thats how i got so good XD

Hmmm... I'm a guy and I love prince of tennis...
Something about that show is just too cool, the bad thing was it made me play on my friend's gba mario tennis right after!
That and despite everything... I think Eiji's cute! ^_^;;

i am a guy , and if you want to know how i got attached to POT well then you will have to read my story.
one day i was jus walking in the mall so i decided to go buy some games , when i was looking up the games i noticed this game called PRINCE OF TENNIS SMASH HITS! so i asked the guy for it jus to read whats it like and to some screen shoots at the back , i suddenly felt somthin strange *like this is game is somthin and it will stay with me for a while* lol , i went back home and tried the game .
first match i played singles and i choose ryoma *i did not even knew thier names back then* and i choose kaidoh as the CPU .
i got beaten of course real fast ... the game graphics looked top notch and so is the game play ... every thin was goin normal till kaidoh pulled his SNAKE i was like *awsome , i did not even try to go hit it back, you can say i was stunned lol*
and so the maddness started , i watched most of the anime and kept playing the game and listening to the sound tracks.
all in all what i liked bout POT was somthin i can not describe , maybe the yeah the characters looked good but i do not judge by the looks only , or maybe the story line and how the characters relate to each other and treat each other *sigh* i do not know POT has its own charm enough said its the only anime that i keep watching over and over again and i never get sick of its games.
btw , the game is on the PS2 hope you guyz played it and sorry for the long post i d onot usualy do that but POT made me do so~

btw , the game is on the PS2 hope you guyz played it and sorry for the long post i d onot usualy do that but POT made me do so~ I have the Passion Red and Glorious Gold for the GBA. They are really fun, but I haven't finished unlocking everything quite yet. You have to link with other games to unlock certain things -_# guh. But they are a lot of fun. I recommend them. Knight-kun has the Cool Blue and the Silver versions. (the difference between them are the schools that are playable). |
