I didn't find an old thread about pairings/couples/whataver in Prince of Tennis, therefore I'm creating one.

I'm might not be a very "new" member, but that doesn't change the fact tham I'm very curious about wanting to know what/which pairing(s) you support. You can write down any pairings you want, as long as YOU like them, wether it's het, shonen ai/yaoi or shoujo ai/yuri (not that I believe there's a lot of shouji ai/yuri in the PoT fandom... But I've read a few TomoSaku fics so IT IS THERE). And you don't have to write as much as I did; just which pairings you like, and maybe a small comment too. Oh, and you're of course not allowed to critize other people for liking a couple you dislike and so on. But you already knew that, OR DID YOU?!

I'll start!!

Sanada x Atobe
Anyone knows that rivality leads to interesting relationships *COUGH*MomoKai*COUGH*, especially in anime/manga. This one is no exception. AtoTezu? WHAT's THAT? This the -real- Buchou Love of PoT. YES, Sanada is only fukubuchou, but in my point of view, Sanada and Atobe is compensating eachother WAY better than Atobe and Tezuka do.
(And perhaps I also should tell you that I get quite turned on at the thought of an uke!Atobe... XD)

Momoshiro x Kaidoh
Aaah, my very first PoT pairing I came to like, and I still feel nostalgic (Someone: Nostalgic? Whaddya mean, "nostalgic"? You've only been into PoT for half a year! Me: ... If I say nostalgic I mean nostalgic!) when reading fan fics about them or seeing fan arts or etc. Yeah sure, InuKai is way more popular, but MomoKai is so CANON (*____*) I mean c'mon, WHAT could possibly be sexier than hate and frustration mixed together with desire and sexual tension? (Nyaah, you can't deny the sexueal tension between them) They might not be the most Perfect Couple out there - but that's what make them to the Perfect Couple!

Kawamura x Fuji
Now this is one of the cutest pairings in the entire series!! Kawamura = the nicest, sweetest, and most caring anime guy since Rock Lee (and I LOVE Rock Lee). Fuji = as beautiful as a sunset over the ocean, but is also the source of all evil. Angel x Devil = Pure Love.

Yuuta x Mizuki
The Chip and Dale syndrome; you never see one of the, without the other one! And that about *aherm* "training" all the night - with a Mizuki dressed in purple to accompany you - can only mean ONE THING!! I also like to think of them as a comical duo. Mizuki is the (wannabe) evil guy, and Yuuta is his poor partner in crime.

Kamio x Shinji
Nice hairstyle + another nice haristyle = smex. Or something (^.^)' But seriously folks, the two of them are hanging out a lot together and I think their personalities goes together just perfectly. And remember, kids; Kamio is NOT the uke!
It just totally suck that Ann is masacrating the relationship by leading Kamio down to the hell. Which in other words means hinting that Kamio is *GASP* straight. A deadly sin in fandoms like these. And you know it.

Okay, back on subject. I totally agree on your reasons for Yuuta x Mizuki, Shishido x Ohtori (I can't spell his first name) and Oshitari x Gakuto. But if you have Silver pair, you need to have the Golden Pair.
If Silver Pair's married, then the Golden Pair is living in a house with a white picket fence, two kids (what do you think Ryoma and one of other first years are for?), a cat, and a dog.

Another favorite, though I am not really a Tezuka fan, is TezuFuji. I have no idea why but something about these two just draws me in.

Fujicest is another fave. I like Yuuta x Mizuki, but there is just something so interesting about the Fuji bros being together. It's so delightfully sinful and yet, so cute.

What else? Oh, yeah. Kirihara x An or Kirihara x Sakuno. I have no idea why I like these. But I do.

LOL!! Best view of Yuuta x Mizuki EVER!! I should totally start that fanfic contest I have in my head, theat the only rule is you have to write a fic based off something said in the forum... and point people right here ^^;;

I have two flash drives, one's 64 mb and the other is 1 gig. They're named Pinky and the Brain respectively. XD

Ooo fav pairings:

TezuFuji, FujiRyo, AtoFuji..... probably my top three. ^^;;; yeah, I love Fuji. Mengo kedo, I don't like TakaFuji, it's one of the few Fuji pairings I don't like. ^^;;;;

Aaah but there are plenty of others I do like, like SaeFuji, FujiEiji, Fujicest, FujiMizu (or is it MizuFuji?? no one ever gets that far ^^;. Someday I'd like to see a flirty Yukimura x Fuji just because they're both so pretty. ^^;;;

I love OT5, though I'm a little iffy on Sanada actually, but TezuFujiAtoRyo is like... whoa. And Sanada is just cool enough and hey, they needed it to be 5 so ^^;;; 5 it is.

Oshitari x Atobe - you don't see this that often actually. =O

And of course Golden Pair and Silver Pair <3 <3 <3 ^^;; I'm such a sucker for standard pairings. In fics with a lot of pairings I usually just expect all the standard ones and am happy with that (except TakaFuji ^^;;.

I actually wasn't really a fan of Dirty Pair, until I read Learning to Land *__* you can't not love them after that. XD XD XD

Sanada x Yukimura is definitely at the top of my favorites for that team. And oddly enough, there is something really attractive about Marui x Kirihara x Yanagi.

Yes. You read that right. A threesome between Marui x Kirihara x Yanagi. Well actually, it's more like Marui and Yanagi are fighting over who gets Kirihara. With Yagyuu swooping in and stealing Kirihara while Marui and Yanagi are busy fighting.

Hmm, perhaps I should've told you that I'm anything but LIMITED to those pairings I mentioned in my first post. I can read almost every pairing as long as A) the summary sounds interesting enough, if it's a fanfction or B) it's well drawn, if it's a doujinshi. Actually, I can't even keep away from some of my hate-parings just because I have a perverted mind and only goes for the smut am into all kinds of shonen-ai/yaoi.

My mind is open for everything! Especially for those who doesn't get any attention in the yaoi fandom because they aren't hot enough. I mean, except for the Golden Pair, name a pairing more canon than Atobe x Kabaji? Crack pairings aren't a problem either (Oshitari x Yagyuu, anyone?), as long as people don't go all like "ZOMG GUY1 X GUY2 IS SO CANON!!!11one". Crack is for fun, not for real. At least to me.

Oh, and I seem to be one of the few people who actually DOESN'T like TezuFuji.
And TezuRyo (way too ped for me).
And MomoRyo (same thing as TezuRyo).
And AtoTezu (WTF Tezuka is the uke?! What, have you misread his name as Tezuke? (O.o) ).
And Fujicest (I think I just lost even more respect for Fuji than I already had).
And AtoFuji (have those two even MET..?).
And InuKai (in my mind Kaidoh belongs to Momoshiro..).
And AtoRyo (ATOBE = NO PEDOPHILE!).
And FujiRyo (The pedness again).

My favourite pairings... I'm biased. I focus my interests on one or two characters and look for pairings with them. This is very easy with Jirou.
I like the pairings of Jirou and Momo with Jirou or Momo in. My favourites being the canon AtoJi and MomoRyo. MomoRyo, or the 'Young Love' couple, is a great sauce of fluff and serious fanfiction about relationship problems. Momo makes the humour while Ryoma adds cutesy to the romance (cutesy rom-com about young gay tennis players?).
AtoJi. Just win. It can be cute, it can be serious, it can be kinky/sexy/smutty. There is no limit to the threesomes and more.
And Jirou goes with anyone as we've said before on this here forum. Jirou and... Inui? I've tried writing imagining that. o.o Jirou and... Sengoku? Actually that might work. If you set it up right.

... My brain's dead right now and I need to do h/w... My excuse for not posting on the RP School is politically incorrect waste of mental stability not so great.


Edit: Actually, anyone got any crossover pairings? I like putting Momo-Barghie with Tsuzuki Asato from Yami no Matsuei. :X It's a strange comparison to make: both have a younger, shorter, bitchier, angsty boyfriend; both know a snake; both have the same colour eyes; both guzzle a particular favourite food; and both would probably get on well in the same room. I had a long list of comparisons but I've forgotten most right now... @,@ I don't write these things down.

I'd like to see some crossover pairings with Ouran characters. I've made up stories in the past of Jirou trying to follow Atobe into the high school section when they get out of Hyoutei and ending up sleeping in the host club's room. But I couldn't think of any particular pairings, other than Jirou might like to hang with the twins (I like to force out his more devilish nature sometimes ;3).

I'm not going to use an "x" between names, because I like realistic mutual give-and-take, not forcing people to always be defined narrowly as "seme/top" and "uke/bottom" for their entire relationship. (That's one of the rigid, stylized concepts of "classic" Yaoi genre that I think needs to be tossed out, along with idiocies like the "height rule"...)

What do I read most? In no particular order...

Atobe & Jirou, for cuteness
Atobe & Kamio, for hotness
Atobe & Tezuka, for different but complimentary expressions of will
Atobe & Sanada because it works as well as Atobe & Tezuka if not better
Atobe & Ryouma, for personality clash and snark - but only if one ups their ages (please, no pedophilia! >.< )
OT5 (Ato/Fuji/Ryo/Tez/Sana, in any order) for a nicely balanced personality variety and just plain pure crack XD
Atobe & An, because they would make nice sparks (I like interesting personality pairings, it's really not about the plumbing!!)
Silver Pair, because they are adorable ^^

I've read some Atobe & Oshitari which isn't bad, but Oshitari still belongs better with Gakuto IMO.

I like Fuji as a character, but don't tend to read pairing fanfic featuring him too much. Dunno why, just doesn't seem to suit - though OT5 needs him to complete the balance. ^^

I am currently obsessed with Fuji & Atobe but I am pretty open mind. I am trying to finish some incomplete fiction on fanfiction.net but pretty much I like seeing my favorite characters being paired up together.

I like...a bunch of pairings, most of which are pretty common. (TezuFuji, AtoJi and OshiGaku are particular favorites,) and I pretty much support the standard pairings, along with a few that you don't see much on their own but I'd still say fall into the "normal" pairings. (AkuTaka, IbuKam, HiyoTaki)

But what about pairings that are so uncommon you find maybe one vague reference to it once in a blue moon, and when you do you SQUEAL YOUR HEAD OFF? I've got several of those. For me it's Tachibanacest, TomoSaku, SaeYuu, and any reference to Yumiko, anywhere. Also any reference to Jyousei Shounan, especially if it's to someone besides Kajimoto or Wakato.

And there are some pairings I've never seen but would find absolutely AWESOME--Tanaka twins x Kajimoto, InoueShiba (Yes, I'm weird. I admit it.), and...um...ping-pong boy x twin girl who wants to marry Fuji. ...Last one just because it might be least probable pairing ever to be written, that's not thought of for the sole purpose of coming up with a more improbably pairing.

...But yeah. Tachibanacest for the win.

There's an AU fic with Saeki x Yukimura I just LOVE, and Takanaki twins x Kajimoto!! OMG THAT SOUNDS SO HAWT!!! I would totally read that XD well there's all sorts of three-way pairings that are ignored (not many people write three-ways anyways .__.). I wish I saw more Kisarazutwincest XD and I was recently introduced to Yuuta x Eiji which is actually really cute XD

I love the so-called famous pairings like TezukaFuji (don't worry, Lovux the Great, I have a good friend who dislikes this pairing to a core but we're still friends :3), OishiEiji and so on (Seigaku is filled with LOVE... as if the other schools don't? Hyoutei is also filled with main LOVE!). Just because those pairings got to me first when I read PoT fanfiction. But besides that, I like random pairings too. Cheezeburger of Doom, a FF writer, has this talent to write crack pairings that makes your hearts melt. So far, I've noticed a ShishidoxKajimoto, Yanagisawa x Mizuki (?), Sengoku x Kamio pair in her stories and many more.

The pairings that make me want to go back is perhaps TezukaFuji, FujiRyoma, ShishidoOhtori and InuiKaidou. FujiEiji is also a good pair. SaekiFuji is wonderful as well. Aaah, so many pairs at the same time. @_@

And where did all the hetero pairs go? The only hetero pair I like is MomoAnKamio. It's funny to see them squabble.

Well, as there are only a few females in the series...

My favorite hetero pair is without a doubt KiriharaAn. I also really like YuutaAn.
I also find it very amusing to have Tomoka/Horio paired together. They can annoy each to death.

But, I absolutely cannot stand RyomaSakuno. Someone, please, kill me when it comes to THAT pair.
