I'm a huge fan of Hikaru Utada <3 I fell in love with her after hearing "First Love" of her. Her voice is really good.
Other bands that I like are : Do As Infinity (too bad the band broke up, I really liked their music), Maaya Sakamoto (how can I not like her, her voice is beautiful), Gazette, L'arc~en~ciel, Antique Cafe, Eels (a non-Japanese band) Soulwax (another non-Japanese band), Dir en Grey, D'espairs Ray (I LOVE "Mary of the Blood" song of theirs! It's sounds even more beautiful live in my humble opinion), Ali Project and I can go on for a while ^^;;

i like her music too, but her music videos are ok but not great. and I love Fist Love. I went on a searching rampage for the piano sheet music for that song for like months and then finally i got it. it's not exactly like the one I listened to, but it'll do ^_^. and has anyone ever heard of the korean pop star Rain also known as Bi? he's hot. lol and a really good dancer and his songs are pretty good too.  |

As far as J-rock faves....
Well, I have and always will forever love Kotani Kinya. I almost gave up in thinking that he might do anything other than Gravitation, but then I heard that he would be doing the openings for Tsubasa Chronicle and I just about spazzed I was so happy.
Thanks to FMA, I have fallen in love with L'Arc~en~Ceil as well. My fave songs by them are Revelation and Lost Heaven.
I also adore Buck Tick. The sound of their music is just so relaxing. Even something like Kagerou just relaxes me when I'm really stressed. ^^
And I'm also starting to really like Suga Shikao. He has done a lot of songs for XXXHolic and did an insert song for the Death Note movie.
For English music...
I love more obscure stuff. The Calling, Franz Ferdinand, Frou Frou, Maroon5... bands like those. And I like soundtracks! ^_^ My fave being The Labyrinth soundtrack and the soundtracks for The Phantom of the Opera and Circ du Soliel's La Nouba(which is actually mostly in french.. >.> ).

still obsessed with Utada Hikaru~ Her voice is amazing. @___@ PASSION <333 The English version of that isn't that good, though.
speaking of which. Utada Hikaru's English is like perfect in her songs. O__O Kaida Yuki is getting there. MinaJunko is just.....bleck. ^^ [no offense...]
