...btw, what's reverse harem? the little girl in Ouran said something about reverse harem and i had no idea what it is!!! The term 'reverse' works in the same as in the term 'reverse trap'. A trap is a boy who looks like a girl, a reverse trap is a girl who looks like a boy - therefore a reverse harem is a girl surrounded by boys, while a harem is a boy surrounded by girls (eg. Love Hina, Negima, Tenchi). Some people refer to BL or Yaoi harem as 'reverse and upside down', but I've only seen the term used once or twice... >.> My current avatar is a good example of a trap. :0 A lot of dudes on 4chan still won't accept that Dori and Gura (aka THE TWINS) are both boys. And that they slept with a dude. Nude. After encouraging him to drink large amounts of alchohol. Actually, there's a funny scene in the game of Utawarerumono where Hakuoro discovers that the twins are boys, because he always thought they were girls until that point, and one of the twins (I forgot which one) offers to strip so he can see that they are indeed dudes. >;3 In conclusion, the twins are miniture pervs really... Or just know how to flirt with an innocent face. I'm not sure how reverse harems led to such a conclusion.

Kodocha is awesome~ and I love reading Pita Ten. ^^ how many episodes are there in Naruto? my friend already watched the whole thing, but Youtube only has up to 197 or 198. >_> Fullmetal Alchemist is an awesome anime series. but I'm pretty sure a whole lot of people have already watched it. but oh well. xD

LoL!! I love the twins!!
Ooooo the Pita Ten anime is amazing, it's one of the series that made me physically cry. The only other things off the top of my head that have made me cry like that are Lilo&Stitch and One Piece. XD
Naruto is good when they aren't animating fillers... but the manga is awesome. XD

Muwahaha. I have seen half of the series on that list purely because I'm not a huge fan of humor anime. ._. Unless it's good, of course, then I'll watch it and like it. Like Honey and Clover, which was awesome. xD

FULL METAL ALCHEMIST! It has a really great storyline, the characters are loveable and it's got enough humour and angst to satisfy all your needs
Full metal panic is good too....a little on the perverted side when it comes to humour, and the mech-robot things look like demented frogs but it's got a pretty good story.
Bleach - even though I haven't been watching it lately it seems pretty interesting. Although I don't know if the story got worse or better because I'm still on episode 30 and there are about 90-something episodes currently.
ummm can';t think of any else right now

Read or Die! I only watched the first two episodes, but the whole setting reminds me of my room (yeah, I'm a book freak, sue me!)... and it's a mystery-action fantasy mix.
I second Bleach... and I like Hikaru no Go (still haven't watched all the eps). Kare Kano was quite nice, too... oh, and Kodocha, of course. I LOVED Kodocha, almost as much as Rurouni Kenshin.
Atm I still have Basilisk to watch... should be pretty good, too.

Here are my recommendations:
Paradise Kiss - It is definitely not one of your typical love stories. The story and the music both get a thumbs up from me for this one. Gorgeous artwork also.
Black Cat - In an era where action series all feel the same, this one really stood out for me. Maybe because every time someone came off as the series ultimate bad guy, they'd turn it around on you and it be discovered that they actually weren't. The characters were so enjoyable to watch in this, also. And the music didn't hurt, either.
Trinity Blood - One of the best Vampire series I've seen to date. Too bad the original author died before getting a chance to finish the story. I would have liked for them to have had more material to extend the anime with.
Victorian Romance Emma - A sad story to be sure, but if you are a fan of period pieces like I am, then this is one you definitely want to watch.
Bleach - Because there has to be at least one ridiculously long series in the mix, no? ^^
Death Note - Not actually starting until this October, but promises to be an awesome series. I can't wait to check it out myself.
Speed Grapher - Definitely not a series for little kids, this series literally screams sexualism, but not in a bad way. Definitely not one of your typical supernatural series. All the freaks in here were biologically enhanced. But I'd go with fansubs since it's the only way to hear the original opening of the series featuring Duran Duran's "Girls on Film".
Howl's Moving Castle - Yes, technically a movie, but one of the best by Miazaki. I absolutely adore this movie, both the english and japanese versions. ^_^
Rozen Maiden - If you haven't been able to tell, I lean a bit toward the bizarre. While Rozen Maiden is more whimsical than bizzare, it's still a big plus on my list.
Ouran High School Host Club - This series is fun to watch just to see how many genres they can get away with stretching to the extreme.
Loveless - Again with the gorgeous artwork. the story can be a little hard to follow at times without having read the manga, but all so pretty pretty. Too bad it ends with you wanting more.
Shakugan no Shana - One of the first series I watched entirely where I was really REALLY wanting them to do a second season for. ^_^
And of course, the obligatory mentions: Gundam Wing Trigun Slayers Fullmetal Alchemist Escaflowne Devil Hunter Yohko Vampire Hunter D Yami no Matsuei Gravitation Bastard Sorcerous Stabber Orphan(season one ONLY) Sakura Wars
And just for the record... yes, ADV's new name for Utawarerumono made me CRY! Absolutely not necessary. They might as well call it "That Furry Show".

ashkah: I have seen everything you've recommended. Saw Speed Grapher and I laughed through 5 episodes and then quit. I just couldn't take it seriously. Paradise Kiss was a series I didn't particularly like (because I'm just not a romance person) and Gravitation bored me to death. I am such a kill joy. bbalfreak: Azumanga Daioh was just weird. ._.
