Yeah, Yanagi was messed up BADLY! It's amazing that he was able to continue in the musicals at all, and even more so that he more or less got back on his feet for Hyoutei and DL3. So it's understandable that he wasn't int he movie.
Poor Yanagi. I really admire him.
